When you create an account, we collect: email address (if signing in with Google or Apple), display name (optional), profile photo URL (optional), date of birth (used for zodiac personalization), and authentication identifiers provided by Firebase Auth.
2.2 Content You Create
Messages you write and send ("posts"), your journal entries, and any content you choose to share in the anonymous public feed. Anonymous feed posts are stored without your name or account identifier in the public record.
2.3 Usage Data
App interactions, screen views, feature usage patterns, crash reports, and performance data collected via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.
2.4 Device Information
Device type, operating system version, app version, device locale, and advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) — the latter only when you consent to personalized advertising.
2.5 Subscription & Payment Data
Subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement data managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Huawei (AppGallery) where applicable.
2.6 Advertising Data
If you use the free tier, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage signals to serve contextual or personalized ads, subject to your consent (collected via our in-app GDPR/ATT consent flow).

Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase Auth (authentication), Firestore (database), Cloud Functions (AI proxy), Firebase Messaging (push notifications), Firebase Remote Config (feature flags), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting). Firebase is operated by Google LLC and data may be processed in the United States. See Firebase Privacy.
OpenAI
Your message text is forwarded to OpenAI via our Firebase Cloud Functions to generate your cosmic reflection. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy. We do not include personal identifiers when sending content to OpenAI. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat manages subscription state, purchase validation, and entitlements. It receives a RevenueCat user ID, your app store transaction records, and device/platform metadata. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob
For users on the free tier who consent, Google AdMob collects advertising identifiers and contextual signals to serve ads. You can opt out via your device settings (Limit Ad Tracking on iOS; Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android). See Google Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple
If you choose to authenticate via Google or Apple, those platforms provide authentication tokens to Firebase. We receive only the information you authorize (name, email). We never receive your password.
5. Anonymous Feed
Posts you choose to share publicly appear in the anonymous feed. Your username or account identifier is not displayed publicly. However, we retain a link between your account and your public posts for moderation purposes. Content that violates our Community Guidelines will be removed.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Journal entries & posts: Retained until you delete them or your account.
- Crash & analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months (Firebase default).
- Advertising data: Managed by Google AdMob per its retention policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data
- Object to certain processing (e.g., personalized ads)
- Withdraw consent at any time (for optional processing)

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), Firebase security rules, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. When we transfer data from the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
